Nap like a Champion!



Ever have those days where in the afternoon, a wave of exhaustion just slaps us in the face? We’ve all been there, and one of the most common and best remedies is a nice nap. Though the concept of napping may seem simple, there are some do’s and don’ts that will completely transform your napping experience and give you the energy you need to conquer the rest of the day!


Keep your naps short- To make sure you are energized when you are going back to your activities, aim to keep your naps to 10-20 minutes. Napping for longer may leave you victim to sleep inertia, that feeling of grogginess after waking up.


Don’t nap too late- Naps are all about timing, if you nap too late into the day it may affect your sleep schedule. According to the Mayo Clinic, napping after 3 pm is not recommended as this could interfere with your circadian rhythm. The ideal time for a nap is right after lunch, around 12-3 is the perfect time to rest off that post lunch crash and have you bustling through the rest of your day.
