FOXOLOGY:

DENSITY sign.jpg

DENSITY/DURABILITY of Comfort Foam:

Perhaps the most important part of your mattress. This affects how quickly you observe change over time. This is the "money" shot of mattress building.

Fox fact: The "average" leading name brand mattress uses a density of approx 8-10 oz. per cubic foot in their upper end models for comfort cushioning.

At Fox, the LEAST density foam/cushioning we use in our mattresses is 1.8 pounds per cubic foot and range upwards of 3 pounds in some of our models.

This is what affects how quickly a "sag" appears in a bed.

SUPPORT:

Determines the skeletal/posture alignment. Responsible for holding up the heavy parts of your body.

Hips - Abdomen - Shoulders

Choices of Steel Coil, pocketed springs, and 100% foam designs.

Gauge of wire is most important, NOT the coil count.

COMFORT:

Determines the amount/thickness of cushioning and type of comfort padding used. This is how much pressure relief is given to the most common pressure points of shoulders, hips, ex.

Types of comfort cushioning include: soy preserve foam, memory/gel, latex, and more. We at Fox Mattress offer mattress options with any of these combinations.
