How to Have a Lucid Dream

In our previous blog, we introduced the idea of lucid dreaming, and in this follow-up blog, we will dive into the steps of how you can have your own lucid dream! It's important to note that this isn't something that happens overnight and might take months of practice to nail down. However, it's something that anyone can do with repetition and consistency.

The first step of lucid dreaming is just setting the intention of having a lucid dream. Making it a goal and immersing your mind with the thoughts of lucid dreaming is very helpful. Have you ever had a situation in your waking day that commanded a lot of your attention and it somehow made its way into your dreams? It's the same idea. To make lucid dreaming more present in your mind, you can watch videos about it, read articles, and talk to your friends about it.

The second step is raising awareness of your dreams. Keeping a dream journal is one tool you can use to accomplish this. Before going to bed, set the intention of remembering your dreams. When you wake up in the morning, immediately record your dreams in your dream journal. It's important to do this shortly after waking up as people tend to forget their dreams as time passes. Noteworthy details to write about include sequence of events, how you felt during the dream, and the people you saw.

Practicing lucid dreaming contain more steps but these points are great for you to get started! However, lucid dreaming can't be accomplished without restful sleep.
