#PillowTalk: Work from your Bedroom

We've all been guilty of it before. You feel the crippling weight of all the tasks and work on your agenda. Deadlines creeping up relentlessly. Exams, project deadlines, emails that seem never ending in your inbox. Sometimes you just need to lay down...a little bit...pull up the covers...and then the voice in your head "I'll just work in bed for a little bit". All of a sudden just "resting your eyes" becomes a nap or a "nap" becomes a full blown seven hour sleep. We're not perfect, and we crave our beds because it is the most comfortable place in the house.

Allow us to help you make it even more comfortable with your personal preferences in mind. Enjoy a firmer mattress? We got that. How about something softer? We have that too. No matter your preference, your end result is ultimate comfort. So after your long day working or hustling your busy life, you can just relax and catch those z's.

But sometimes you just catch yourself making compromises between rest and work time. Here are some of our tips how to efficiently work from bed:

1. Sit in the middle of your bed.

Prop your pillows to make a desk for your laptop. The important aspect here is letting your core support your weight, not the backboard. Your seating will be comfortable with your Fox mattress but by letting yourself support your back, you are more likely to stay awake while being comfortable.

2. Drink water.

This is a great tip throughout the entire day but especially if you have been working long days and now you find yourself working in bed. The act of taking a sip of water forces your body to move, fighting sleep and increasing productivity. You might even need to use the restrooms a couple times, allowing you to get a break and stretch your legs.

3. Take a 20 minute power nap.

This might seem counterintuitive but 20 minutes is shown by research to the ideal time period for a power nap. What that means is this short rest will help you feel more rejuvenated and ready to tackle the tasks in front of you. Luckily, your Fox mattress can help you immensely with that.
