If you have been reading our last post or are just stopping by for the first time, you are not alone. About 1 in 4 people suffer from some variety of sleep disorders. A lack of quality sleep can have large negative effects on our own health and those around us.

First, lets understand how much sleep we need. The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke reports that the amount of sleep each person needs varies with age. An average adult needs between 7-9 hours of sleep daily. If you are not, it is time to examine why. Are you just not in bed long enough? Is your mattress uncomfortable? Are you distracted or stressed in your bed?

These are all questions you need to ask yourself. Be honest. Try to find the cause of you not getting the right amount of sleep and make a change.

Stay tuned next month for more information to convince you to commit to a better night sleep.
