How to Effectively Change your Sleep Schedule

There is nothing worse than going to sleep knowing your sleep schedule is messed up and you will be tired all day tomorrow. Sometimes we get distracted by our phones or tv and can lose the important schedule that your body thrives off of. In this article we will be discussing the most effective way to change your sleep schedule and avoid the midday naps.

Start small. Let's say you want to change your schedule to wake up earlier, so of course that means you should sleep earlier. Take your time with this change in routine, every night sleep 10-15 minutes earlier than the night before and wake up 10-15 minutes earlier as well. This will take time and patience, but each day you will find it easier to get out of bed.

Also consider the habits you do before you sleep and when you wake up. When you wake up, try to find natural light to wake you up. If you always look at your phone during both times, try to replace the phone time with something you can look forward to. For example, a good book before you go to sleep or a coffee or tea you are looking forward to in the morning.
