Previously, we began discussing how to establish a powerful morning routine. We covered having a consistent sleep-wake schedule, as well as the importance of staying hydrated and satiated throughout the morning. In this second part, we will continue discussing steps and considerations to have to establish the perfect morning routine for you!


Ideally, your night before you can set your schedule and priorities for the day. Set some time in the morning to practice mindfulness and being present. This can help reduce stress and help set a better tone as you begin your day. In your morning routine it is also a great time to work on your skincare routine too! Starting simple with a cleanser and moisturizer, and work on adding other essentials as needed.



One particularly controversial subject is coffee in the morning. While drinking coffee too late in the day can affect your sleep, drinking coffee too early can lead to spiked cortisol and greater stress. In the end, it varies greatly on the individual and staying moderated with your caffeine intake. As long as you are not feeling adverse effects in your sleep and stress, coffee in the morning can be great in setting a strong tone!
