Skipping the Insomnia This Holiday Season

The holiday season is just around the corner, which means traveling to celebrate with loved ones is ahead. This leads to a change in routine, changed time zones, and lots and lots of stress. These can be a direct cause of the lack of sleep that occurs during the holidays. We want your celebrations to be filled with joy, so in this article we will be discussing how to work around the changes this season, and ensure your sleep is top notch.

There isn’t a worse feeling than being on a vacation and being too tired to go anywhere, so the best way to avoid that is to over plan, leaving time for relaxation and a little break if needed.

Now when you travel and sleep in a new environment, your body takes some time to adjust, so be patient. There is a general rule that one full day is how long it takes your body to adjust and be able to sleep slightly better. Make sure you have a very similar bedtime routine to what you normally do to train your brain into sleep mode. Bring anything that will ensure you are comfortable, like your favorite blanket or pillow, an eye cover, a fan even.
