How the Seasons Affect Sleep (Part One)

As the seasons change, it is more than the colors of the leaves or the temperature that is affected, but our sleep patterns as well! During the colder months of winter our bodies naturally gravitate towards the warmth and coziness, leading to a preference for heavier blankets and bedding. While lower temperatures are usually conducive for better sleep, many times it can be just too cold! What this means is our bodies have to work harder to maintain a comfortable body temperature to fall asleep.
